History: Designed by Col Wild and built in 1935 using the triple skinned method of construction pioneered in New Zealand. During WWII Lady Gay was commadeered by the Royal New Zealand Navy for coastal patrol work.
Later in the early 1970's she was lengthened to 46 feet which made her even more comfortable for entertaining larger groups of up to 20 guests.
An extensive restoration of her was carried out in 2002 and she is now in immaculate condition. One of the finest classics available for charter.
Construction: Wooden, triple skin construction, with all restoration work being carried out using traditional materials and methods
Equipment: Large cockpit which opens out onto the aft deck; teak handrails around the entire vessel allowing uninhibited access all round the deck; 2 x double berths; seating for 8 at the beautiful walnut saloon table for that intimate dinner.

Crew: Day trips will always have a skipper and a 1 crew. Larger groups may have a 2nd crew.
